Jesus is the God of promises.

He promised to give us rest, to quench our thirst.  He said, “Come to me, you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”  “They that thirst after me shall never thirst again.”  He also said, "They that thirst and hunger for righteousness shall be satisfied."  No matter what you are hungering for – Power, Love, Acceptance, –Jesus is the answer.  You will never find life in that which was never meant to bring life!  Marriage, children, a great job, new clothes, a chocolate sundae – these things can serve as a crucible to sieve out junk in our hearts, or as a source of pleasure and delight, but God will not allow these things to fill the place He was meant to have!  May He Give Us a Hunger to know Him more!
